The Walton team

Walton’s growth and continuing success is thanks in no small part to our skilled and experienced – and highly likeable – team. We currently employ over 80 people, and value the contribution made by each and every one.

As well as ensuring we recruit the best people in the first instance, we do our utmost to nurture talent and see our staff progress and flourish within our business. The key contacts at Walton include the people below.

Andy Walton
Joint Managing Director

Andy joined Walton in 1987.

He became Operations Manager in 1992, and Managing Director in 1997. Andy oversees sales and customer relations for half of the company’s client base. He plays a key part in growing and developing the business, improving procedures, ensuring compliance, and overseeing all aspects of the business.

Tim Payne
Joint Managing Director

Tim joined Walton in 1992.

He became Operations Manager in 1997, and was appointed Joint Managing Director alongside Andy Walton in 1999. Tim played a key role in introducing the company to utility reinstatement. He has a DipHE and BSc (Hons) in Environmental and Earth Sciences.

John Binding
Logistics Director

Joined Walton in 2005 as Plant & Transport Manager, after 23 years in the Army specialising in logistics.

He became logistics Director in 2010 and offers experienced guidance in the logistical decision making of the senior management team.

He is responsible for our fleet of operational vehicles, plant & tools. His role also includes the Management and running of all of our depots.

John holds the certificate of professional competence in road haulage (international)

Andrew Britten
Commercial Manager

Andrew joined the company in 2004 as a costing clerk.

After gaining experience within the company, he became Commercial Assistant in 2006 and Commercial Manager in 2009 where he is influential in the overall management and growth of the business.  Following a more relaxed day-to-day involvement from Tim and Andy, Andrew now plays an important role within the Senior Management Team and heads up the main decision making on a daily basis.

Mark Johnson
General Manager

Mark Joined Walton as Financial Controller in 2011, after spending nine years in recruitment.

During his time at WCE Mark has obtained his knowledge in all parts of the business, which led to his natural progression to his current role as General Manager in 2021, where he plays a vital part in the everyday running and development of the company.  He plays an important role within the Senior Management Team.

Carla Lovell

Business Operations Manager

Carla joined Walton in 2010 as a reinstatement co-ordinator.

After 5 years she was promoted to Team Manager where she progressed in character and gained a wealth of knowledge in the industry, enough to take on the role of Contract Manager in 2019.

Her current role of Business Operations Manager developed a year later in 2020 where she plays an important role within the Senior Management Team.

Paul Southam

Operations Manager

Paul has many years of experience in the Utility sector and having worked for WCE previously from 2017 – 2019 he returned in 2021 as Contract Manager.

Paul then progressed onto the role of Operations Manager, working closely with Carla Lovell (Business Operations Manager).

WCE have utilised his experience with Paul running many of the large project and high -profile utility jobs, such as the major road repairs relating to the consequential damage due to large water main bursts.

Helena Roy
Performance and Compliance Manager

Helena joined Walton in 2000 as a reinstatement coordinator.

She has held her current position since 2010, ensuring we comply with our client’s requests and has a hands-on approach in developing our in-house systems.

Kirsty Willcox

General Office Manager

Kirsty joined the company in 2011 as a Purchase Ledger Clerk.

She has progressed through various roles and her all round knowledge of the business proved invaluable when she was promoted to General Office Manager in 2022.

Teresa Payne

Business Support Manager

Teresa joined Walton in 2000 as a reinstatement coordinator.

Having worked in most areas of the business she is now Business Support Manager where she implements and maintains our business accreditations whilst overlooking all staff training requirements.

Nathan Harris
Contracts Manager

Nathan started working for Walton in 2018 as a Team Manager.

He was promoted to contracts manager in 2021. Nathan’s role became more diverse as he now carries out onsite operational /supervisory works.

Jess Constanza
Team Manager

Jess started working for Walton in 2017 as a Data Inputter and then soon progressed
onto a Reinstatement Co-Ordinator – her ability and experience in these roles resulted
in her being promoted to Team Manager in 2021.

Sam Morrison

Team Manager

Sam Joined Walton in 2018, having previously worked as a supervisor in the Transport industry.

This experience has helped him adapt his current role of Team Manager.

 Ashley Hembury
Team Manager

Ashley Joined Walton as a Reinstatement Operative in 2016. He has developed gaining valuable all round knowledge along the way.

He progressed and grew through the roles of Team Leader to Supervisor which led to the natural promotion of Team Manager in 2022.  Ashley has now taken on a hybrid role by overseeing and managing the large and complex site works while he trains for the role of Contract Manager in the future.

Jason Bletsoe
Team Manager

Jason joined Walton with a Team Leadership background and having worked for the business in 2018 – 2019, he returned in 2021 to his current role of Team Manger.
