Walton’s growth and continuing success is thanks in no small part to our skilled and experienced – and highly likeable – team. We currently employ over 80 people, and value the contribution made by each and every one.
As well as ensuring we recruit the best people in the first instance, we do our utmost to nurture talent and see our staff progress and flourish within our business. The key contacts at Walton include the people below.
Joint Managing Director
Andy joined Walton in 1987, becoming Operations Manager in 1992, and Managing Director in 1997. Andy oversees sales and customer relations for half of the company’s client base. He plays a key part in growing and developing the business, improving procedures, ensuring compliance, and overseeing all aspects of the business.
Joint Managing Director
Tim joined Walton in 1992. He became Operations Manager in 1997, and was appointed Joint Managing Director alongside Andy Walton in 1999. Tim played a key role in introducing the company to utility reinstatement. He has a DipHE and BSc (Hons) in Environmental and Earth Sciences.
John joined Walton in 2005 as Plant and Transport Manager, after 23 years in the Army specialising in logistics. He became Logistics Director in 2010, and is responsible for a fleet of over 140 operational vehicles plus plant and tools. John holds the Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Haulage (International).
General Office Manager
Teresa joined Walton in March 2000 as a reinstatement coordinator. Having worked in most areas of the business, she is now settled as General Office Manager overlooking all departments. Teresa is the ISO 9001 and 14001 management representative for the company and has also implemented and maintains CHAS, Constructionline and Achilles accreditations for the Company.
Bev’s career history includes experience in banking and accountancy. She joined Walton in 1997, and became a key member of the team, compiling management accounts and auditing for the company. She became Company Secretary in 2002.
Andrew joined the company in 2004 as a costing clerk. After gaining experience within the company, he became Commercial Assistant in 2006, and Commercial Manager in 2009 and General manager in 2021.
Performance and Compliance Manager
Helena joined Walton in August 2000 as Reinstatement Coordinator. She has held her current position – which involves overlooking the company’s largest department, and ensuring we comply with our clients’ requests – since 2010. Over the years Helena has had a hands-on approach to developing Walton’s systems, and played a role in the company’s expansion.
Carla joined Walton in 2010 as a reinstatement co-ordinator, being promoted every couple of years to finally gain her recent position of Operations Manager in 2020.
Paul has many years experience in the Utility Sector and having worked for WCE previously from 2017 to 2019 he returned in 2021 as Contracts Manager.
Mark joined Walton as Financial Controller in 2011, after spending nine years in recruitment. He was promoted to Commercial Manager in Jan 2021.
Senior Team Manager
Simon joined Walton in 1983 as an operative, working his way up to supervisor/scheduler in 2008, and becoming Team Manager covering all areas of the business.
Senior Team Manager
Matthew joined Walton in 1997 as an operative, working his way up to Supervisor/scheduler in 2001. He became Team Manager covering the South West Peninsula of the business.
Jess started working for Waltons in 2017 as a Data Inputter and then soon progressed
onto a Reinstatement Co-Ordinator – her ability and experience in these roles resulted
in her being promoted to Team Manager in 2021.
Sam joined Waltons in 2018, having previously worked as a Supervisor in the
Transport Industry. This experience has helped him adapt to the role of
Team Manager which he holds at Waltons.
Nathan started working for Waltons in 2018 as a Team Manager, having previously come from a managerial role in a plant hire Company. In 2020 Nathan’s role became more diverse as he now carrys out onsite operational/supervisory works whilst still carrying out his Team Manager role.
Kirsty joined the company in 2011 as a Purchase Ledger Clerk and after a year became Credit Controller for the company. She held this position until recently being promoted to Financial Controller in Jan 2021.
Plant, Transport and Depot Manager
Vania joined the Walton team in July 2019. He has extensive experience in African logistics and business management. Vania completed his BA (Law) degree in 1999. Vania manages the plant, transport and depots for the company and provides full time support to our teams on the roads.
