Walton’s proven track record
Walton has been established since 1981, and has been involved in utility reinstatement for over 20 years. During that time, we have worked for clients of all sizes, including the national and international businesses shown in the list below. When clients such as these come back time and again, it’s a sure sign that we’re doing our job correctly.
Kier Utility Services (WPD)
Working throughout Western Power Distribution Area B which covers, Devon, Somerset, North Somerset, BANES, Bristol City and South Glos.
Two work streams of Fault and planned projects where we carry out surface reinstatement only for Kier.
Kier Bournemouth Water
Working throughout the Bournemouth water Region which is essentially in the Poole and Bournemouth area.
The 2 work streams of water leaks and planned projects where we carry out Backfill and Surface Reinstatement for Kier
John O’Mahony (OMJ)
OMJ have a contract with SGN on their mains replacement projects, where the work is a mixture of trenchwork and insertion. Walton carry out the Backfill, Surface reinstatement and spoil removal for OMJ. OMJ were used by SPIE Leven as a subcontractor in 2017 and then took on the work direct for SGN.
Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions
We work for Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions on one-off fixed-price schemes and projects. We also carry outwork involving interim or planer/paver lay works.
Clancy Docwra
Walton have been carrying out utility reinstatement for The Clancy Group since the late 1990s on various contracts along the South Coast, Home Counties and the South West.
Gigaclear
We have recently started working for Gigaclear in the South West, carrying out surface reinstatement to complete a rural broadband installation.
Lewis
Walton have been working for Lewis Civil engineering since the early 2000s, mainly on projects for Wessex Water and Bristol Water.
Morrison Utility Services
Walton began working for Morrison Utility Services in early 2000 on the former Transco South West LDZ in Bristol and Wiltshire. Due to the success of our relationship, we were asked to carry out backfill and reinstatement on the Transco South LDZ.
Murphy
Walton have been working for J Murphy & Sons since the early 2000s, mainly working on water-based projects throughout the Wessex and Thames Water regions.
Scotia Gas Networks
When our former client Transco South was taken over by Scotia Gas Networks we continued to work on the contract in the region. Further to two successful tenders and periods of work, we have been carrying out backfill and reinstatement in the Poole and Solent regions. In April 2012 we also began backfill operations for the Service B contractors on the project work throughout this area.
SSE
Walton have worked for SSE since the late 1980s. Our core business for SSE is fault works and HV/LV project reinstatement.
Veolia Water
Walton first worked for Veolia at army camps on Salisbury Plain. We continue to carry out all aspects of reinstatement for Veolia in the camps, and work on special one off projects.
Wessex Water
Walton have worked for Wessex Water since the early 1990s, and are now involved in many work streams that involve highway and treatment works reinstatement.
Western Gas Alliance
Western Gas Alliance comprises of Wales and West Utilities, AMEC and Morrison Utilities. It was formed to manage gas leakage and gas project main replacement. Walton have been working with Western Gas Alliance since it was founded. Our involvment began with contracts in Devon and then quickly expanded into Cornwall.
